What are the boys up to now!?
In November 2016 Rob Crumpton, Ben Thomas and James Thomas completed the 2016 Tour De Cure Ride. Just under 400kms, over 3 days, from Geelong, along the coast, to the Victorian Cancer Centre on Grattan street in Melbourne.
Now if that wasn’t enough for their already busy work schedules……following the success of the 2016 3 day Tour, Ben and Robbie will now be cycling over 1270kms, from the 24th of March to the 1st of April, over 9 consecutive days, in the 2017 Signature Tour de Cure Ride!!
Their mission…… to raise funds and awareness to help cure cancer! We could not be more proud of the boys! They will be cycling a challenging route from Hotham to Hobart in 9 days (why would they make it easy for them! lol) Along the way, Tour de Cure will donate $10,000 to local cancer projects in each overnight stop.
This is aiming to help support the regional communities as best we can, as this is where the support is needed the most! Each day they will also stop at various different primary schools, spreading the word to the young ones to be fit, eat healthy options and most of all to slip, slop, slap! Meeting the kids and spreading awareness to all is one of the most rewarding parts of the ride for Robbie, Ben and the whole team.
Here are some details about the route they will be cycling.
We are extremely appreciative for the previous and ongoing support that you have provided to our colleagues in their efforts to help raise over $200,000 over the past few years for cancer research, support and prevention projects, we could not have done it without you! We will now be making the 2017 Signature Tour de Cure Ride our main fundraising event for 2017!
So to continue our fundraising success for the year, we need your help!!
